CDMS Promotions Policy

Promotion to L2

Level 2 designates more experienced marshals.

Any marshal who completes a deployment and attends debrief may be promoted to L2.

Promotion to L3

Level 3 marshals can lead events and require a high level of experience.

For promotion to L3, marshals must shadow an event lead at least once, and then lead at least one event with an experienced (L3) buddy. Marshals who are able to successfully lead an event may then be promoted to L3.

Promotion to L4

Level 4 marshals make up the management committee and are responsible for running the school.

For promotion to L4, marshals must be in L3 and take on additional duties such as a backend portfolio, area organiser role, or level representative role.

L5

The executive (L5) is an elected position. They can be removed by an assembly of marshals.
