CDMS is an anti-colonialist, anti-racist, anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist united front. Our activities are open to all people who support these principles and follow the three rules:

  1. You can leave at any time
  2. Follow the directions of coordinators
  3. Do not engage with police or opponents

To join, subscribe to our public WhatsApp chat at https://chat.whatsapp.com/JqU0rEi2ZljFRZhXCmoE8B for upcoming events, deployments, and training. For safety, make sure your face and legal name are removed from your WhatsApp profile, as the chat will be monitored by opponents. We encourage the use of pseudonyms while marshalling. While using the chat, please note:

  • Messages may be deleted by admins for safety reasons. Remember the chat is public - do not share sensitive information on yourself or others (e.g., names, addresses, social media handles).
  • When sharing Instagram links, remove any text following a ? to avoid leaking your social media handle (https://www.instagram.com/p/DSeIhMGkrJe/ is okay, https://www.instagram.com/p/DSeIhMGkrJe/?igsh=ABCdeFghi1jklMnoPQ== is not).

Before marshalling, please note:

  • Deployment and training are risky activities; risks include confrontation, arrests, physical injury, and surveillance by opponents.
  • Marshals should attend training before all deployments.
  • Wear boots or running shoes (no sandals), pants (no skirts or shorts).
  • Bring a water bottle, sun protection, face mask (to protect against COVID and surveillance by opponents), ear plugs.
  • Keep your hands free (no umbrellas, placards, handbags, etc.).
  • You may be searched by police; do not bring anything that could be considered a weapon (e.g., umbrellas).
